Synopsis:

Sarah McClure arrived at Elm Creek Manor as a newlywed, never suspecting that her quilting lessons with master quilter Sylvia Bergstrom Compson would inspire the successful and enduring business Elm Creek Quilts, whose members have nurtured a circle of friendship spanning generations.

The Wedding Quilt opens as the wedding day of Sarah's daughter Caroline approaches. As Sarah has learned, a union celebrates not only the betrothed couple's passage into wedlock, but also the contributions of those who have made the bride and groom the unique people they are. Thus Sarah's thoughts are filled with brides of Elm Creek Manor past and present-the traditions they honored, the legacies they bequeathed, and the wedding quilts that contain their stories in every stitch.

A wedding quilt is a powerful metaphor: of sisterhood, of community, of hope for the future. The blocks in Caroline's wedding quilt will display the signatures of beloved guests. As the Elm Creek Quilters circulate amid the festive preparations with pens and fabric in hand, memories of the Manor-and of the women who have lived there, in happiness and in sorrow-spill forth, rendering a vivid pastiche of family, friendship, and love in all its varieties.
From the very beginning of this series I've been hooked.  As each book comes out, I immediately add it to my ever growing collection.  The Wedding Quilt is book # 18 in the Elm Creek Quilter's book series.  This takes place 25 years after The Aloha Quilt.  Sarah and Matt's twins Caroline and James have returned to the Manor for Caroline's wedding.

We meet again all the lovely ladies of Elm Creek Quilts - save Sylvia and Agnes (who have sadly both passed on at this point).  We get to learn what has happened to each of them since we left off in the Aloha Quilt.  Some have moved away, some have married and had children, while others have gone on wonderful adventures.

This book ties up all sorts of loose ends through out the series.  We get to see snippets into each of their lives and it brings everything together.  This book to seems like it's the end of the series - just in the way it finishes all the little stories.  What happens to Anna & Jeremy, where did Summer end up etc.  I don't want to get into any details or spoil how things come about.  Really I hope this isn't the end of Elm Creek Quilts but if it is the end of the series it's a great way to do it!

If you're a fan of Elm Creek Quilts this is a book for you!  Highly recommended!

  1. Likewise I love this series. I am awaiting my pre ordered copy to arrive. The author has another book in this series listed on Amazon with a 2012 publication date, so the series lives on. Hooray!!

Book Tour: Medusa A Love Story by Sasha Summers

Medusa A Love Story By Sasha Summers Blurb: It's said love can change a person. Medusa wasn't always a monster... Medusa is ruled by duty, to her Titan father and the Goddess Athena. She's no room for the tenderness her warrior guard, Ariston, stirs. When Olympus frees her from service, her heart leads her into the arms of the guard she loves... and curses her as the creature with serpent locks. Ariston goes to war with a full heart... and dreadful foreboding. He learns too late of the danger Medusa faces, alone, and a Persian blade sends him into the Underworld. But death, curses, nor the wrath of the Gods will keep him from returning to her. Poseidon will use Greece's war to get what he wants: Medusa. He does not care that she belongs to another. He does not care that she will be damned. He is a God, an Olympian, and she will be his. "This tragic and beautiful retelling of one of the world's oldest stories tackles the eternal battle between ...
