To be honest I hate having to admit I didn't finish a book or didn't enjoy a title that was sent to me - but on occasion it does happen.
I have started and stopped reading this book several times over the last few months.. The main reason I picked it up was because it was by J K Rowling! I adored the Harry Potter series and assumed I would love this title as well.
Sadly it wasn't the case, I was surprised at how much I didn't like it. The concept was interesting, and the blurb had me interested - but I couldn't get into it! I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters, I found some of the language a bit over the top and found myself very frustrated in general with the story.
I may try the book again at some point, but it may just stay on my shelf for a time and get passed onto someone else who might enjoy it.
Oh it's too bad you couldn't get into it. I'm looking forward to this one, but have read mixed reviews so far... either love it or hate it. *sigh*
