USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti has worked as an art curator, Senate aide, lawyer, college professor, and a hearing examiner - only to culminate it all in stories about Alpha males and the women who claim them. She is a member of RWA, has won awards for her works throughout the industry, and has a journalism degree with a poly sci emphasis from Pepperdine University as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides in the wild north with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day-or at the very least give her plenty of characters to write about.

Top 5 Things I Love About Being a Writer

Rebecca Zanetti

Thank you for having us over for our blog tour!  There are so many things I love about being a writer, it’s tough to narrow it down to five.  But I’ll give it a shot:

1. You can let the crazy out.  It’s true.  I was a lawyer and a college professor, and while I did enjoy some creativity with each job, I couldn’t be the true, voice-hearing, wild ideas…me.  As a writer, I can be myself, even though I’m a bit off.  Aren’t we all?

2. Daydreaming is actually work.  Who knew?  Thinking and dreaming are part of the creative process, and so is finding inspiration in life, movies, and television shows.  Relaxing on a porch swing and talking to myself is part of my job!  How freakin cool is that?

3. The wardrobe.  I freely admit it, I now wear yoga pants a lot.  A lot—a lot.  No more dressing up every day to go to the college.  Sometimes my socks don’t even match, but the UPS guy has gotten used to that.  I like not having to be anywhere on anybody else’s schedule now.

4. The readers/fans/bloggers.  I have met so many incredibly interesting people during my journey as an author.  From the amazing bloggers who help get out the word to the readers who attend conferences and book signings, they’re all fascinating.  Without being an author, I wouldn’t have met such wonderful people from all parts of the world.

5. Earning a living doing what I love.   I’ve had a lot of jobs, and I’ve enjoyed each one of them.  But this is the first time I’m actually loving what I do.  Sure, there are tough parts to writing and being an author, but I couldn’t stop if I wanted to.  Oprah said it best:  “When you’re doing the work you’re meant to do, it feels right and every day is a bonus.”

KaynARCHERDebra[5]

Romance author Debra Kayn lives with her family in the beautiful coastal mountains of Oregon on a hobby farm. She enjoys riding motorcycles, gardening, playing tennis, and fishing. A huge animal lover, she always has a dog under her desk when she writes and chickens standing at the front door looking for a treat. She's famous in her family for teaching a 270-pound hog named Harley to jog with her every morning.

Her love of family ties and laughter makes her a natural to write heartwarming contemporary stories to the delight of her readers. Oh, let's cut to the chase. She loves to write about REAL MEN and the WOMEN who love them.

When Debra was nineteen years old, a man kissed her without introducing himself. When they finally came up for air, the first words out of his mouth were...will you have my babies? Considering Debra's weakness for a sexy, badass man, who is strong enough to survive her attitude, she said yes. A quick wedding at the House of Amour and four babies later, she's living her own romance book.
