Not so bad..

I'm actually suprised at how I'm feeling.  You always hear horror stories of how other people had their teeth pulled and were over a week getting back into the groove, how they were out of it for the first 2-3 days etc.
I think the worst part was the actual IV needle.. as I am seriously not a fan of needles!

It kicked in within 30 seconds of them giving me the meds.. Mike said I was out like a light!  I remember waking up in recovery which was about 45 mins later.  I woke up listening to the guy in the spot next to me asking where he was and why.. and wanting to know why they wouldn't let him go outside for a cigarette.  I felt bad for the poor guy!

The dentist and his nurses were awesome, Dr. MacNicol came in several times to check on all his patients in recovery.. we also had RN's that kept an eye on us.  I was one of about 6 in the recovery area.
Mike said I was pretty lucky with the whole process.  We got home just before noon (my apt was at 9:45am, but ran a bit late getting in, so probably a 10am start).   The bleeding had stopped and I was able to eat.  I dozed for a few hours and was up and around by 3-4pm.

All and all it wasn't too bad.. I'll be sore for a few days, but it'll give me a chance to finish up my magic loop socks and potentially start another pair while I wait for my lace yarn for the KAL to arrive :)

Here is a progress photo of sock #1 - I am just working on the foot part right now and in 12 more rows I can start decreasing for the toe!

Hopefully I can start sock #2 tomorrow or on Sunday!

  1. I'm so glad that your experience wasn't terrible! I didn't want to say anything, but my experience sucked big time. Glad all is well!

Interview: Marie Claremont & Giveaway!

2011 Golden Heart winner Máire Claremont first fell in love with Mr. Rochester, not Mr. Darcy. Drawn to his dark snark, she longed to find a tortured hero of her own… until she realized the ramifications of Mr. Rochester locking his frst wife up in his attic. Discovering the errors of her ways, Máire now looks for a real-life Darcy and creates deliciously dark heroes on the page. Oh, and she wants everyone to know her name is pronounced Moira. Her parents just had to give her an Irish Gaelic name. I adore the contrasts. The absolute morality of the time veiled so much going on underneath. It was a time of secrets. And on a shallow note, I adore the gowns. 2.  Tell us somet...
