Socks were a success!!

I am just about done my Mom's socks.  I have a couple of rows left to do on the toe.  Unfortunately I didn't have them both done for dinner last night at my parents place.  So I wrapped up the finished sock and gave her that with a note that the other would follow in a couple of days LOL.  She loved it.

I've also been working on another pair of socks.  The Harpa Socks in Knitpicks Essenital "Russet Tweed".  So far I've got the cuff done and I've started on the heel flap.  They are really neat ankle socks!

There is another pattern I've been eye-balling.  And I've got the perfect yarn for it!
Oatmeal Pullover by Jane Richmond.  I had originally started using this yarn for a giant granny square blanket I was constructing.. but I saw this and all that went out the window!  This is the yarn Red Yarn.
I've also got some nice navy blue, pale blue and a rich cream colour that this sweater could be made into.. I think I might have to make a few of them for my closet!

I also picked up this pattern while ordering the Oatmeal Pullover.. Beatrice  I've got this great green yarn that I made my sister's purse out of "Purse" and I think I'm going to make the Beatrice out of the 3 skiens I've got left over!

How is everyone's projects going?  Anything exciting happen on the weekend?

A Day in the Life of.. Anne Barton

Welcome to Stitch Read Cook's weekly feature!! A Day in the Life of..... This is where us bloggers & fans get a glimpse inside the days of our favorite authors!   -------------------- Anne Barton started swiping romances from her mom’s bookshelf as a teenager and decided historicals (with their balls, dukes, and gowns) were the best. So, when she had the chance to spend a semester in London she packed her bags—and promptly fell in love with the city, its history, and its pubs. She dreamed of writing romance, but somehow ended up a software analyst instead. Fortunately, a few years and a few careers later, Anne found her way back to writing the stories she loves and won the Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart® for Regency Historical Romance. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children, who try valiantly not to roll their eyes whenever she quotes Jane Austen. Her weaknesses include reality TV, cute-but-impractical shoes, and coffee. Lots and l...
