A Day in the Life of.....
Top Selling Romance Author, Debra Kayn, lives with her family at the foot of the Bitterroot Mountains in beautiful Idaho. She enjoys riding motorcycles, playing tennis, fishing, and creating chaos for the men in the garage.
Her love of family ties and laughter makes her a natural to write heartwarming contemporary stories to the delight of her readers. Oh, let's cut to the chase. She loves to write about REAL MEN and the WOMEN who love them.
When Debra was nineteen years old, a man kissed her without introducing himself. When they finally came up for air, the first words out of his mouth were…will you have my babies? Considering Debra's weakness for a sexy, badass man, who is strong enough to survive her attitude, she said yes. A quick wedding at the House of Amour and four babies later, she's living her own unbelievable romance book.
A Day in the Life of Debra Kayn
Monday through Friday routine
5am – I wake up, make coffee for Wheels, and talk to him while he drinks. He's usually reading the classified section of the newspaper—because apparently we can't have too many cars/motorcycles. I also let the dog outside, because she only allows me to open the door for her. She's such a diva.
6am – I go up to my office and turn on the computer. I spend about an hour going through emails that came over through the night, check in on Facebook and Twitter. During this time, I also get dressed, do makeup, and figure out if I have to go anywhere out of the house during the day.
7am – Get the twins up and make sure they start their schoolwork before 9am. They homeschool and will be finished completely this year. I'm no longer needed while they work, but I'm here in case they want to skip out to remind them that school comes first before anything else.
9am to 2pm – I write. This block of time is interrupted a lot by household chores, checking on the guys in the garage, stalking Wheels, making phone calls, and answering emails regarding my other books or edits. The dog also will need out numerous times, by me, of course.
2pm to 3pm – I go for a walk along the river every day. We live in a beautiful area in the Bitterroot Mountains, and I never get tired of discovering new things.
3pm to 4:30 - Social media time! I also do laundry, make dinner, and find out what the family has planned for the night.
4:30pm – Dinner. It's always sit at the table time for us. I love this part of the day.
6:30pm – Wheels gets a backrub. From day 1, I've rubbed his back every night for 24 years. The only time I've missed a night was when I had four kids.
8:30pm – I write until bedtime.
10:30pm – I go to bed and read until I fall asleep. Depending on the book, I could fall asleep instantly or stay up until 1-2am reading.
Saturday and Sunday
Family time! I often write on the weekends too, but only when we have no plans. I promised myself at the beginning of my career that on the weekends, I'm just a wife, mom, and myself.
She's on thin ice . . .

There's only one problem-her target is the hot and very sexy Tony Weston, whose eyes tell her he's on to her game . . .
He's her only hope
Tony spotted the gorgeous detective a year ago at the police academy and never forgot her. A thousand fantasies later, he finds Rocki working for the most dangerous man in town. Now, Tony's determined to find out what's going on . . . after he brings her home with him. But when her position is compromised, suddenly Rocki and everyone she loves might be in danger. Now Rocki must trust Tony with her secrets, her mission, and her life-or it could be the end for both of them.
