I've been rather lacks in my updates lately! Things just seemed to get away from me these past few weeks. Finishing up Christmas gifts, shopping, work... Is everyone ready for Christmas??? I'm finished all my shopping, 90% of my gifts are wrapped, stockings are stuffed. All ready for Santa to arrive :) I'll post some photos of my Christmas gift project after the holidays :) Don't want to spoil any suprises! Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Next year, I'm going to be more vigilant in my updates!!

My baby sister Rachel from over at With Every Stitch  is expecting!! We are all very excited for her and her husband Ryan!  Can't wait to meet the little one in June!

Being that it's slowly creeping up to that wonderful time of the year.  I thought I'd share one of my favorite cookie receipes!  I'm actually planning on making them this afternoon - well pending on how long it takes Mike to install our new DISHWASHER!!! We haven't had a dishwasher in almost a year.. so very pumped to now have to handwash dishes... Here is the cookie receipe! Enjoy! --- Ingredients: 2 c sugar 6 tbsp cocoa 1/2 c butter 1/2 c milk 1/2 tsp vanilla 3 c Instant oatmeal 1 c grated coconut Directions: - combine sugar and cocoa in saucepan - add butter and milk, bring to a boil - add vanilla - remove from heat and blend in oatmeal and coconut - drop by spoonfuls on wax paper and chill till firm
