A Day in the Life of… Kathleen Bittner Roth

Welcome to Stitch Read Cook's weekly feature!! A Day in the Life of..... This is where us bloggers & fans get a glimpse inside the days of our favorite authors! -------------------- Once Kathleen Bittner Roth realized making a living was not the same as making a life, she blazed her own trail by founding a successful well-being center, walking on fire, and marrying in a castle in Scotland. She has somehow managed to live in six U.S. states and several foreign countries. Currently residing in Budapest, Hungary, she still keeps one foot planted in the U.S. Kathleen considers writing Victorian romance a wonderful venue for creating characters faced with difficult choices, and who are forced to draw on their strength of spirit in order to overcome adversity and find unending love. A member of Romance Writers of America®, Kathleen has been a regular guest on radio, television, and on various writing blogs. You can find Kathleen on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, or visit her

A Day in the Life of… Kelly Kittel

Welcome to Stitch Read Cook's weekly feature!! A Day in the Life of..... This is where us bloggers & fans get a glimpse inside the days of our favourite authors! -------------------- Here’s a little bit about me:  I’ve been trying to make the world a better place since I arrived with a book clutched tightly in my little fist. I taught nature day camp at the Norman Bird Sanctuary and environmental education as a Peace Corps Volunteer with the Jamaica Junior Naturalists. From there I flew to Dutch Harbor and boarded the Mineshima Maru to spend a few months in the Bering Sea with three other women and three hundred Japanese men(!), performing intimate operations on Pollock such as collecting otoliths and, well, sexing them. I spent most of my career as a fish biologist saving the salmon, managing a multitude of projects in the Columbia River basin from endangered Kootenai River sturgeon to the offspring of Lonesome Larry in Redfish Lake. I’ve been slowly undergoing me

A Day in the Life of… Vicki Wilkerson

Welcome to Stitch Read Cook's weekly feature!! A Day in the Life of..... This is where us bloggers & fans get a glimpse inside the days of our favourite authors! --------------------   Vicki is a native of the Charleston, South Carolina, Lowcountry and loves to share her enchantment with the area with readers through her writing. Even in childhood, she enjoyed penning stories and poems—no doubt fueled by her grandfather's enthusiasm for telling tales himself. Where else—but in the South—could one find the interesting blend of salt water, eerie swamps, unwritten traditions and unique characters? In her spare time, she loves traveling, spending weekends at her family's lake house, playing golf and cooking (with lots of wine).  Follow Vicki on her Blogger blog, Wordpress blog, Facebook , Goodreads , Pinterest and Twitter ! A Day in the Life of Vicki Wilkerson There is absolutely nothing “typical” about a writer’s life. Who gets up at 3 a.m. to start work bec

In addition to reading and writing, she is passionate about her dog and cat, British pop music, and the beach. Gimme Some Sugar by Kimberly Kincaid {Blog Tour}

Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance novels that split the difference between sexy and sweet, taking the traditional idea of boy-meets-girl and infusing it with a sassy magic all her own. She believes in fiery yet flawed characters destined for a crash-course in falling in love-- usually the hard way-- and injects her trademark humor as well as poignant touches into her writing to create her stories. Kimberly's writing journey has led down some bumpy roads (that first manuscript is under the bed, where it is very likely to stay), but there has been some fresh pavement too (her second manuscript earned her very first contest final, and landed the fantastic Maureen Walters at the Curtis Brown Literary Agency). One thing is certain -- the wild ride of being a writer is a lot richer in both its ups and downs because of friends and readers along the path. When Kimberly's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she ca
