A Day in the Life of... Jenn LeBlanc!!

Welcome to Knit Purl Stitch Read & Cook's new weekly feature!! A Day in the Life of.. This is where us bloggers & fans get a glimpse inside the days of our favorite authors! This week we have amazing author and photographer Jenn LeBlanc ! About Jenn: I have several constants in life that define me: Colorado, Canon, CJ, kids and curls. Born and raised in a household of other people’s children in this beautiful state —very nearly with a camera in hand— I never left. I started my own family, got used to the curls, went to college, built a CJ, and started a business, all with a camera in hand. I always had another passion; storytelling born from daydreams and nightmares. My fingers were never as quick as my mind, and no amount of practice got them there, so it was difficult and frustrating to have this inside me. When my second daughter was born her inherent traits kept me pinned— my only escape the keyboard. Spending my days in parenting chat rooms I go

Review: Quest for the Nail Prints by Don Furr

Title:   Quest for the Nail Prints Author:   Don Furr Genre:   Christian Fiction, Time Travel Pages:   352 Published:   March 2011 Publisher:   Sheaf House Source:   via Author for honest review Synopsis: When unexpected circumstances bring a doctor, a pastor, and a professor to Israel during Holy Week, they are suddenly thrust back in time to first-century Jerusalem. There they come face to face with Jesus of Nazareth on his way to the cross, an encounter that changes their lives forever. When I first received this book I was intrigued.  The concept was unique and not what I would normally pick up.  While I enjoy Christian novels, this wasn't something I'd seen in the genre before.  I have to say it took me a bit to get into the story.  We start out with Elizabeth, a young doctor who loses a young patient after a tragic accident.  From there we meet a jaded professor of religious studies and a pastor who came late to his calling.  These three characters set out

How To Seduce A Scoundrel - Blog Tour - Guest Post & Giveaway!!

Today I am thrilled to have Vicky Dreiling author of How to Marry a Duke and her newest novel How to Seduce a Soundrel visit us with a guest post! Favorite Historical Romance Writers By Vicky Dreiling I read my first historical romance early in the nineties. To be honest, I didn’t even know that I’d picked up a romance novel until I brought it home from the supermarket and started reading. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the author hooked me. The author was Judith McNaught and the book was Almost Heaven. As soon as I finished that book, I hurried to the nearest bookstore to buy all of Ms. McNaught’s novels. I adored her heroines because they were the sort of women we would all like to have as our best friends: nice women and yet courageous as well. Naturally I loved the strong alpha heroes in her books as well. Since then, historical romances have evolved in many ways, but the nurturing aspects of the heroine and the strong alpha heroes remain very popular with readers.
