Synopsis:

After her father loses the family fortune in an insider-trading scheme, single mom Parker Welles is faced with some hard decisions. First order of business: go to Gideon's Cove, Maine, to sell the only thing she now owns—a decrepit house in need of some serious flipping.

When her father's wingman, James Cahill, asks to go with her, she's not thrilled…even if he is fairly gorgeous and knows his way around a toolbox.  Having to fend for herself financially for the first time in her life, Parker signs on as a florist's assistant and starts to find out who she really is. Maybe James isn't the glib lawyer she always thought he was. And maybe the house isn't the only thing that needs a little TLC….
Parker’s life has been thrown into complete chaos.  Everything she’s known and loved is about to be pulled out from under her.  When a bad business deal sends her father to jail, all his assets are frozen, and his properties seized – including the one that she and her son live on.  Not only is she homeless, but she’s also low on funds as her father drained all the accounts to help try and save his butt.

Thankfully a distant cousin has left her a house in her will, but can she get the place liveable before the end of the summer?  With her son staying with his father and step mother Parker and her father’s right hand man James tackled the decrepit old house to bring it back to live.  Parker dislike’s James, but is willing to tolerate him for a few weeks so she can get back on her feet.  Can she put aside her initial assessment of James and really get to know him?

I LOVED Parker, she’s smart, sexy, independent and willing to do anything to make a life for her and her son.  I love the budding relationship between her and James, once she overcomes her initial dislike of him, because he’s associated with her father.  These two have some pretty major bumps in the road along the way and have a lot to deal with before they can have their happily ever after.  Can Parker forgive her Father and rebuild their relationship?  What will Parker do once the house is sold and where will she go?

Will I recommended this book?  Most definitely, anyone who loves Kristan’s books will adore this.  They are so much fun to read.  Will I pick up more by this author?  Oh yeah, this one will find a home on my book case with the pile of other books by her.  One of the reasons I love Kristan’s book so much is because they have such wonderful characters, she is an amazing writer and is easily on my auto-buy list!

Book Tour: Bring Me Back by Karen Booth

I’m Karen, a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on 80s music, Judy Blume, and the films of John Hughes. An early preoccupation with Rock ‘n’ Roll led me to spend my twenties working my way from intern to executive in the music industry. Much of my writing revolves around the world of backstage passes and band dynamics. My first full-length novel, “Bring Me Back”, is a story I had in my head for nearly eight years before my fingers hit the keyboard. Sleeping and eating quickly became a luxury, a plan I have since dubbed the Writer’s Diet. I channeled teenage memories of plastering my walls with posters to weave the tale of music journalist, Claire Abby, and the dreamy British rock-star crush of her youth, Christopher Penman. “Bring Me Back” is a work of women’s fiction, published by Turquoise Morning Press. When I’m not creating fictional musicians, I’m listening to everything from old-school Cheap Trick to Duran Duran to Superchunk with my kids, honing my Southern
