Synopsis:

Forbidden passion is the ultimate temptation...

Captain William Langley knows the ocean well, but nothing could prepare him for what he discovers adrift on the cold Irish Sea. The tiny boat carries two passengers: a child—and Meg Donovan, Will's long-lost love. Meg's disappearance at sea eight years ago was a devastating blow. Now she's back, as beautiful as ever, and with secrets as deep as Will's own.

After years held captive by a cold-blooded pirate, Meg has finally escaped with little Jake, the boy she's come to love as if he were her own. But the pirate wants his revenge—and Meg must do whatever it takes to shield Jake from the madman. Determined not to lose Meg again, Will vows to protect them both, yet Meg can't risk putting the only man she's ever loved in danger. With the threat to her safety growing, and her passion for Will burning brighter every day, surrendering herself to Will might be a pleasure too tempting to resist.

Spice Level:  Steamy, but not over the top.
Violence Level:  Pirates + swords + guns + ships + bad guy = some violence.

Once again we meet the Donovan sisters.  While Serena and the rest of the family has been in London, Meg has been going through hell.  After falling overboard on during a voyage, she vanished – presumed drowned.  Little does anyone know, she was rescued and has been held captive by an evil cold blooded pirate!  She manages to escape, taking with her the son of a friend; who she desperately wants to protect from his menace of a father.

The last person she expected to see on her rescue ship was Will - her long lost love.  So much has happened in both their lives over the last eight years, both of them have a great deal to learn about one another and to deal with.  Will wants to take her back to England and to her family, she wants to hid and not bring her family into the mess she fears could happen.  Meg finally gives in and is reunited with her sisters – unfortunately with all that happened in the past books Meg has to take on the guise of Serena, her twin.. as “Meg” is technically married to the Earl of Statford.

I loved how this book tied up all the loose ends of the Donovan sisters.  We finally get to know what really happened to Meg, and she gets her happy ending – like both her sisters have had.  This family has had to overcome a tremendous amount of tragedy and obstacles to be one again.

Can Will protect Meg and Jake from the madman that is hunting them?  Can she admit she still cares for him and be together again?  Can she live her life as Serena and not Meg?  Will she ever feel at home in England?  - so many questions!

Would I recommend this book?   Oh yes, yes yes!  If you loved any of the other Donovan books – Confessions of an Improper Bride or Secrets of an Accidental Duchess – you will LOVE this book.  Will I read more by this author?  Of course!  I already have several other titles by Jennifer on my bookcase and I will be adding more as they come!

Book Tour: Bring Me Back by Karen Booth

I’m Karen, a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on 80s music, Judy Blume, and the films of John Hughes. An early preoccupation with Rock ‘n’ Roll led me to spend my twenties working my way from intern to executive in the music industry. Much of my writing revolves around the world of backstage passes and band dynamics. My first full-length novel, “Bring Me Back”, is a story I had in my head for nearly eight years before my fingers hit the keyboard. Sleeping and eating quickly became a luxury, a plan I have since dubbed the Writer’s Diet. I channeled teenage memories of plastering my walls with posters to weave the tale of music journalist, Claire Abby, and the dreamy British rock-star crush of her youth, Christopher Penman. “Bring Me Back” is a work of women’s fiction, published by Turquoise Morning Press. When I’m not creating fictional musicians, I’m listening to everything from old-school Cheap Trick to Duran Duran to Superchunk with my kids, honing my Southern
