Synopsis:

All widowed Alicia Galloway has left of her war-hero husband are the flag that draped his coffin and his final wishes: to move to his hometown, take over the family bookstore and enjoy a simple, quiet life with their two small children. When she arrives, her husband's best friend makes that new life anything but simple. How can she be so drawn to Liam Addison?

Liam only intended to help Alicia get settled. But one unexpected kiss awakens his long-held forbidden feelings. Soon, the town busybodies swoop in to warn Alicia away from him. Because no matter the man he's become, he'll never live down his reputation as town troublemaker and wolfish womanizer.

No one wants the war hero's sweet widow and the supposedly former bad boy together. But the more everyone tries to keep them apart, the closer he and Alicia get. And the more determined Liam is to prove he's a changed man. Will it be enough to convince Alicia to let a new love in her life?

The move to small down life wasn’t quite how Alicia had planned it.  She and her husband were going to take over his father’s bookstore and raise their family in his hometown.  With him gone, can she do this on her own?

With two small children, Alicia sets out to unpack, get the bookstore in order and figure out life without her husband.  When a chance encounter with Liam – a childhood friend of her husband Ty, steps into her life and things are never the same.

As all small towns seems to go, everyone knows everything about everyone.  And everyone has an opinion on what someone else is doing – and can’t keep those thoughts to themselves!  One of the things I really loved about this book was the small town atmosphere.

Both Alicia and Liam have a lot of obstacles put their paths.  Liam is determined to prove he isn’t the bad boy who ruined Ty’s life, but a smart talented professor who wants nothing but forgiveness and a chance.  Can he get Alicia to see past the gossip and rumors to see the truth?

Would I recommend this book?  Yes, it was a wonderful story of two people who have lost someone special and their relationship grows from it.  I loved Alicia and Liam and how they work through all the stuff thrown between them.  Would I read more by this author?  Yes!  Michelle has a way with words, she draws you into the small town life of these characters and keeps you hooked until the last page.

Book Tour: Bring Me Back by Karen Booth

I’m Karen, a Midwestern girl transplanted in the South, raised on 80s music, Judy Blume, and the films of John Hughes. An early preoccupation with Rock ‘n’ Roll led me to spend my twenties working my way from intern to executive in the music industry. Much of my writing revolves around the world of backstage passes and band dynamics. My first full-length novel, “Bring Me Back”, is a story I had in my head for nearly eight years before my fingers hit the keyboard. Sleeping and eating quickly became a luxury, a plan I have since dubbed the Writer’s Diet. I channeled teenage memories of plastering my walls with posters to weave the tale of music journalist, Claire Abby, and the dreamy British rock-star crush of her youth, Christopher Penman. “Bring Me Back” is a work of women’s fiction, published by Turquoise Morning Press. When I’m not creating fictional musicians, I’m listening to everything from old-school Cheap Trick to Duran Duran to Superchunk with my kids, honing my Southern
